Supporting the Armed Forces is deeply personal to Sarah. Her father served as a Warrant Officer in the British Army, including in Northern Ireland during the Troubles. She believes defending the country and preparing our military for modern warfare must be among the Government’s highest priorities.
Sarah has spoken out against the unfair pursuit of veterans through the courts over events that took place more than 50 years ago. Many of those affected are now elderly and should not face repeated legal action driven by politics rather than justice.
She believes Britain must make the choices needed to fund defence properly, rebuild military strength and ensure our Armed Forces are ready to protect the country. Sarah strongly supports the UK’s membership of NATO and believes a well-equipped military is essential to deter threats from abroad.
Sarah will continue to stand up for serving personnel, veterans and their families. Those who have sacrificed for their country deserve to be treated with fairness, respect and dignity.
