Sarah Pochin MP has made housing one of the main priorities of her constituency work. She and her team regularly help residents who are having problems with housing associations, private landlords and local councils.

Sarah’s office works closely with Onward Homes, Riverside Housing, Plus Dane Housing, Your Housing Group, Halton Borough Council and Cheshire West and Chester Council. Her team helps residents with repairs, damp and mould, housing applications, home adaptations, homelessness, anti-social behaviour and Property Pool Plus applications.

Sarah and her team also visit residents in their homes to see problems for themselves. This helps them understand the situation and press housing providers to take action.

Sarah also works on wider housing and regeneration issues. She holds regular meetings with housing providers to review difficult cases and has worked with residents and Riverside Housing during the redevelopment of the Uplands estate in Runcorn.

Sarah supports investment in local communities, but believes residents must be treated fairly, kept informed and listened to. She will work with housing providers where she can, but will challenge them when they fail to meet the standards residents deserve.
