Sarah Pochin MP is campaigning for responsible development across Runcorn, Frodsham and Helsby. With thousands of new homes planned, she believes future growth must meet local needs while protecting the character, heritage and identity of our towns and villages.
Too often, housebuilding takes place before the roads, schools, GP surgeries and dental services needed to support it are ready. Sarah is calling for major developments to be accompanied by clear transport, education and healthcare plans, so new homes do not add further pressure to congested roads and overstretched local services.
She will also hold developers and councils to account, pressing for mandatory developer contributions to be spent in the communities directly affected by new development.
Sarah’s priority is to ensure that Halton Borough Council and Cheshire West and Chester Council listen to residents and parish councils throughout the planning and construction process. She will continue to campaign for sustainable, well-connected communities in which local people have a voice and local identity remains protected.
